THE FULL STORY

A Lifetime of Creativity... A Passion for Learning

Online Learning.

I have worked in Instructional Design and Educational Technology for Odessa College since 2013, and have served as an adjunct faculty member as needed since 2017. Prior to that I worked for a nonprofit agency (Communities In Schools of Northeast Texas), where a portion of my responsibilities included the development of training curriculum for our direct services professionals. This agency was a department of Northeast Texas Community College, where, in addition to my regular responsibilities, I was able to serve as a part-time instructor for their Continuing Education and Corporate Training division, providing instruction in computer applications, and developing my own course materials, lessons, assessments, etc.

I have developed and implemented a variety of online courses, including an Online Teaching and Learning Certification Program (a series of six courses, which I provide a strong foundation for faculty in online teaching and learning). I am proficient at using a variety of applications, including Adobe Creative Cloud Applications, Camtasia, Rise, and Articulate, to create dynamic and engaging learning materials. Because I am currently employed at the community college level, I am comfortable and adept at working with a variety of subject matter experts and helping them craft their ideas and content into a well-designed learning environment.
